Friday Night Suppers begin weekly January 27th, 2017.

Every Friday Night between 5-7pm (no reservations required), the Wilson House welcomes guests for a Friday Night Supper of outstanding comfort food. Our chef prepares a rotating menu of delicious offerings all topped off by our “signature dessert” Wilson House Bread Pudding. Supper is $12 for seniors, $15 for adults and $4 for children.

Additional special dinners for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are prepared and open for reservation. Summer brings cookouts and ice cream socials.

Wilson House Bread Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups, cubed, dry white bread, donuts, cakes, muffins, etc.
  • 6 cups milk
  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • Light sprinkle of nutmeg
  • 3 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup raisins
  • Moderate sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Place bread, etc. into greased 13×9″ baking pan. Heat milk to hot but not boiling. Place butter on top of bread and cover with the hot milk. Let stand and cool slightly. Mix the eggs, raisins, nutmeg, and salt and add to pan.

Bake in 350 dregree oven for 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold. Best when drizzled with maple sugar and topped with whipped cream. Cover and reheat for another day.
