VOLUNTEER PROGRAM:
We have had some incredible volunteers at The Wilson House during the past six months. “Alumni” volunteers were here for us whenever we called and we had several volunteers here for the first time. We’re ready to take on some summer projects. This year the exterior of The Wilson House needs painting as well as some repairs to the lower clapboards on the north side of the House.
If you would like to volunteer at The Wilson House, please call 802-362-5524 or e-mail
wilsonhouse_532@comcast.net and ask for a Volunteer Application. (Note the underscore before 532)
There is a need for two week
volunteers throughout the summer and fall. You will get a great room,
wonderful food and the company of other program people.
The Only Requirements:
-
At least one
year of continuous sobriety
-
Ability to put
in a days work with various types of activities
-
Ability to work
alone or as a team member
-
Willingness to work with animals
We also have a need for volunteers in May and November to help with
the Wilson House Newsletter mailing.
Professional painters and carpenters are needed this summer and fall. Any amount of time you can donate will be appreciated. It’s best if you can come up during midweek but we can make arrangements for weekends also. Without your help it would be nearly impossible to maintain a House this size.
“On Call Staff”– If you have been on staff before and would like to help on a busy weekend or during a seminar or retreat, please call and ask that your name be put on our “On Call Staff” list.
